Carlingford Morning Tea Clubs (Meet the Riverkeeper)
2nd and 3rd May 2017 10 am - 11 am
The Riverkeeper will be talking to both the Tuesday's Ladies Club Morning Tea and Switch on Seniors about the Parramatta River Catchment Group and the Our Living River campaign. How we are planning to make the river swimmable by 2025, and the role of our 5 mascots (Eastern Long-necked Turtle, Striped Marsh Frog, Bar-tailed Godwit, Southern Myotis (micro fishing bat) and the Powerful Owl).

Botanic Gardens Open Day - Auburn Botanic Gardens (Meet the Team)
Sunday 28th May 2017
The Auburn Botanic Garden open day will feature acoustic music, various activities and due to the date coinciding with reconciliation week will include aboriginal-led tours of bushland and adjoining Duck River.

Come along to Talkin' Turtle to hear from experts about the role of the turtle in the health of the Parramatta River and how you can help keep turtles in the Parramatta River.

Parramatta Day (Meet the Riverkeeper)

Pack your picnic rug & celebrate Parramatta’s birthday at Parramatta Day. With live music, the PARRAVISION talent comp, a delicious array of food at the Farmers Market, local community stalls and plenty of free activities, tours and workshops for kids and adults alike!

Granny Smith Festival

The annual Granny Smith Festival celebrates the life and legacy of one of our district’s most famous citizens, Maria Ann Smith - aka Granny Smith - who, back in 1868, ‘accidentally’ grew the first batch of little green apples that bear her name and are now grown all over the world.

Burwood Festival celebrated its 25th anniversary of the Classic Car Show with a rockin’ and rollin’ good day out for everyone. 

Youth Eco Summit 
19th - 20th September 2016
YES is a curriculum-based sustainability festival filled with engaging workshops and interactive displays. Each year, Our Living River runs workshops and a joint display with Australian Museum and other Sydney-based water catchment groups.
