World Water Day

The Our Living River team had a great time kayaking on the Parramatta River with local residents from the City of Ryde, as part of World Water Day celebrations. Outdoor education provider, Land’s Edge Foundation, did a great job providing all the equipment and training. PRCG Vice Chair and Ryde Councillor Penny Pedersen, spoke about our Masterplan to make theParramatta River swimmable again, and kayakers got the chance to visit Putney Park, one of three new swimming sites to be activated by 2025. It was a fun and enjoyable way to learn more about our local waterways, and we hope to see more events like this on the Parramatta River inthe future.
