Bayview Park (Concord) Community Clean-up

Location: Bayview Park, Burwood Road Concord (Meet at entrance to the wharf)
Join us in a community clean-up of the Bayview Park foreshore in Concord, as we prepare for the Parramatta River’s next new swim site! Work will soon commence on the construction of the swimming enclosure and outdoor shower at the existing beach.
The very low tide this Sunday will enable us to collect bricks and other historical debris usually covered by water. The ORC (Our River Cleaner) will also be on hand to pick up smaller items of litter.
We’ll provide gloves, bags, litter pickers and hand sanitiser and volunteers will also receive a free, light lunch and refreshments. Families are welcome to attend but children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
What you need to bring:
- Waterproof, closed-in shoes
- Long-sleeved shirt
- Hat and sunscreen
- Water bottle (refilling station available nearby)
Registrations are essential. The event is being hosted by the Parramatta River Catchment Group (PRCG) with the support of the City of Canada Bay. The PRCG is following the latest state and federal government health guidelines. This event may be cancelled in the event of adverse weather or COVID-19 restrictions. Book your place now.
