‘Get the Site Right’ campaign recognised at the 2018 Stormwater NSW Awards

The Parramatta River Catchment Group (PRCG) has won a Highly Commended award for its ‘Get the Site Right’ campaign, in the Excellence in Policy and Education category, at the 2018 Stormwater NSW Awards, held recently.

Launched by the PRCG in 2016, Get the Site Right is supported by the Cooks River Alliance, Georges Riverkeeper, Sydney Coastal Councils Group, Lake Macquarie City Council, NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA), Department of Planning & Environment, and 20 councils.

The campaign aims to reduce sediment laden run-off from building sites, which poses a major threat to our waterways and surrounding environments.

The award is a fitting recognition for all the hard work and commitment provided by our member organisations.

Congratulations also go to our member councils and agencies who won awards:

Blacktown City Council
Excellence in Infrastructure – Angus Creek Stormwater Harvesting and Reuse Scheme.

Sydney Water, City of Canada Bay, Strathfield Council
Excellence in Asset Management – Powell’s Creek Naturalisation.

Burwood Council
Excellence in Integrated Stormwater Design – Wangal Park, Croydon.

Sydney Water
Young Professional of the Year – Jordan Mulhearn.
