GreenWay now open!

SHARE

The PRCG team attended the official opening of the GreenWay at Johnson Park, Dulwich Hill, on 14 December. After almost 20 years of advocacy, the six-kilometre shared walking and cycling corridor is now fully open, linking Parramatta Road to the Cooks River and connecting the Parramatta River, Bay Run and Cooks River.

The route follows the light rail and Hawthorne Canal, taking in parks, waterways, heritage sites, cafés and bushcare areas along the way. With improved crossings and more direct connections, the trail takes around 25 minutes to ride or 75 minutes to walk, completing a key missing link for active transport in the Inner West.

PRCG congratulates Inner West Council and community advocates on delivering the GreenWay, and acknowledges the NSW Government for its funding support. To view the map, visit: GreenWay – Inner West Council.
