Putney Beach opened in January 2025. The site includes a netted enclosure, outdoor shower facilities, as well as wide sandstone steps and handrails for easy access.
The beach is nestled within the picturesque Putney Park, featuring lush grassy areas and restored bushland. There are ample picnic spots and shaded areas, including four gazebos available for hire, two children’s playgrounds, and convenient off-street parking. Enjoy the area’s natural beauty with a leisurely stroll or explore the park’s walking tracks.
Sydney Water’s RiverWatch program has been monitoring water quality as part of the swim site development, to ensure it is safe for swimming and other aquatic activities.
