Created by Chris Edwards, a descendant of the Gumbaynggirr people of Nambucca Heads, this artwork draws inspiration from the traditional stone tools of the Wangal people – the first building tools used on this land. The work celebrates Wangal craftsmanship and cultural heritage while acknowledging Bridge Road’s historical role as an important route connecting Parramatta Road and Homebush.
