At the heart of Wangal Park is Life Cycle, a powerful public art series by Barkindji artist Maddison Gibbs and Biripi artist Jason Wing (MadWings). Inspired by the six Aboriginal seasons, it features native flora and fauna across murals, gateways, skate areas, and 11 light poles. The poles also vent methane from the former landfill site and house SMART solar lighting, combining cultural storytelling with environmental innovation. Wangal Park celebrates Country and community through First Nations knowledge, art, and technology.
