Work is progressing on the 91-kilometre Parramatta to Sydney Foreshore Link, which will connect Parramatta Park to the Sydney Opera House and Royal Botanic Gardens. Funded by the NSW Government and led by Transport for NSW, the project is being delivered in partnership with local councils.
Early upgrades are underway in the City of Parramatta and City of Canada Bay to close key gaps and improve access. Over time, existing paths will be enhanced and missing links completed, subject to planning approvals and funding. The goal is to create a continuous, safe, and accessible walking and cycling route along the Parramatta River and Sydney Harbour.
The project also highlights the area’s natural beauty and cultural importance, including its deep connections to First Nations culture. Find out more.
