Riverfest, the Parramatta River Catchment Group’s annual celebration of the Parramatta River, its creeks, and surrounding environment, returns from 19-27 September 2026.
Running from World Clean Up Day to World Rivers Day, Riverfest brings communities together to explore, enjoy, and help care for our local waterways through a diverse program of events and activities.
Community groups, schools, councils, businesses, and organisations are invited to host an event as part of this year’s festival. Events can be big or small, in-person or online, and may include clean-ups, bushcare activities, guided walks, kayaking, citizen science projects, workshops, art activities, family events, and more.
Hosting an event is a great opportunity to inspire people to connect with the Parramatta River and play a part in protecting and improving our waterways.
