The PRCG recently joined the Cooks River Alliance, Georges Riverkeeper, and over 150 water advocates at the Sydney Rivers Community Forum, hosted by the Nature Conservation Council NSW at Customs House.
The forum explored shared challenges facing Sydney’s waterways, including fragmented governance, inconsistent stormwater management, and limited coordination across the many organisations involved in water management.
A key discussion, led by the Cooks River Alliance and PRCG, highlighted findings from the NSW Water Review that show the complexity of responsibilities across more than 30 agencies.
The event reinforced the need for stronger collaboration as Sydney grows, with waterways playing an increasingly important role in community wellbeing and liveability.
