Get the Site Right Blitz Day – 15 October

The next Get the Site Right Blitz Day is planned for Tuesday, 15 October. The blitz aims to build on the improvements achieved in the full-month campaign that was held in May. Results saw more than 1,110 building site inspections by 18 councils, NSW EPA and Dept Planning, Industry and Environment. Sixty three per cent of sites were found to be compliant, up 13% on the previous campaign in 2018. A total of $290,700 in fines was issued for sites that failed to follow the rules.

We look forward to joining many of our councils on Blitz Day to help educate developers and builders about the impact of sediment laden runoff on waterways and the role they can play in helping to make the Parramatta River swimmable again.
