Living Seawalls Project

The Riverkeeper program is advocating for councils with existing seawalls to consider installing Living Seawalls to encourage intertidal biodiversity and create opportunities for future Citizen Science and education programs.

Living Seawalls involve modifying existing seawalls with ecologically friendly structures. The project involves researchers from the Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS), Macquarie University and the University of NSW, together with local and state government, philanthropic, corporate and design partners.  For more information click here.
